Next event is the Autumn Show on Saturday 14th September followed by
the Harvest Supper Part & Talk on Wednesday 16th October (early booking recommended)
In the year 2020 our society will celebrate 150 years of existence, a lot has happened over the years and those running the society have come and gone along with our members.
The society is currently going from strength to strength with many new members taking benefit from subsidised trips and events along with competing in our 3 main flower shows or just coming to have a chat, view the exhibits and have afternoon tea in a charming and relaxed atmosphere.
The Society now requires some additional help.
From March 2020 we need to fill the following 5 positions
CHAIRMAN - VICE-CHAIRMAN - SHOW SECRETARY - SECRETARY - MEMBERSHIP SECRETARY
We are looking to fill these forthcoming vacant positions as soon as possible so that the running of the society can be learnt and an easy handover can be achieved by March 2020 ready for the events to be held that year, the positions are not too onerous and some do not require any horticultural knowledge or experience so if you have some spare time for this long standing society then please contact the Chairman David.
We have at least 6 other friendly and hard working committee members so you will not be alone!
